🧾Ingredient Notes
Tahini: This is the main and key ingredient to make this sauce. So choose the right and good quality. I have used homemade tahini here. If using store-bought choose one which has a runny texture with a nutty and less bitter taste. Garlic: Highly recommend grating the garlic clove using a microplane zester. It adds a nice flavor vs using minced garlic. Lemon juice: Squeeze it fresh to get the best flavor. No, bottled lemon juice won’t give a good taste. Paprika & Ground cumin: added to make the sauce more flavorful. Parsley: Herbs add a nice fresh, bright flavor. Instead, you can try other herbs like cilantro, dill leaves, basil, mint. Water: The water is added to make saucy consistency. Adjust the amount of water as needed. If used to spread on a sandwich or pita bread then keep a little thick. If used as a salad dressing then keep it runny and slightly thin.
👩🍳 How To Make Garlic Tahini Sauce? (Stepwise)
- Take grated garlic, salt and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix and let it sit for 5 minutes. This resting time reduces the pungency of raw garlic.
- Add tahini, paprika and ground cumin.
- Also, add water.
- Start whisking the mixture. At the beginning of whisking, it may look curdled and you feel something went wrong. Don’t worry keep whisking until smooth and runny.
