❤️ You’ll Love This Grape Juice Recipe
Easy-to-make: this grape juice recipe comes together in just 10 minutes. Simple ingredients: You’ll need 3 ingredients only that are grapes, sugar and lemon juice (plus water). Kid-friendly: It is a better choice for kids than those sugar-loaded drinks or carbonated drinks. No-cook method: In this grape juice recipe, raw grapes are blended and strained to get the juice. There is another method where grapes are cooked to make the juice. The latter method is handy when you are canning or preserving the juice. Why the no-cook method? Juice made from fresh fruits has more nutrients and you get the maximum benefits.
🧾 Ingredient Notes
Grapes: I have used seedless red grapes. But black or green works too. Or you can combine red and black. Sugar: It is optional, but I suggest adding a tiny amount. Trust me, it makes a difference. Lemon juice: Add a little bit of lemon or lime juice and it gives more complexity and balances the sweetness with a slight tang.
👩🍳How to make grape juice? (Stepwise)
- First rinse the grapes under running cold water, do rub gently while washing. Then remove the stems and overripe, soft ones. Soak the remaining grapes in water for 5-10 minutes to get rid of bacteria. (I have used organic grapes otherwise you’ve to use salt and vinegar to wash to remove pesticides).
- Take clean grapes in a blender along with water and sugar.
- Blend it until smooth.
- Strain the juice using a sieve and discard the pulp (that has bits of skin).
- Now squeeze fresh lemon juice and stir.
- It is ready to serve.
💭 Expert Tips For Fresh Grape Juice
Highly recommend buying organic grapes. Otherwise cleaning it thoroughly is very crucial. If the grape juice is made using a juicer then you may not need to add any water while juicing. But you can dilute slightly by adding water. If you prefer, you can add a pinch of salt. It brings out the flavor more. I do not add salt to control the salt intake. Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the sweetness of your grapes.
🥣 Storage Instructions
As this is fresh fruit juice, it should be consumed fresh for the most nutritional benefits. However, you can keep it in the refrigerator, covered for up to 24 hours only. If so do stir before pouring it into the serving glass. Fresh fruit juice loses its nutritional value and taste as it sits longer in the fridge.
