❤️About Pomegranate Juice Recipe

Easy to make: The steps to make this pomegranate juice recipe is super simple. Just blend the pomegranate arils and water into the blender, strain it and the juice is ready.  Can I use a juicer? Yes, you can use a juicer. If so no need to strain as the juicer separates the juice and pulp itself. FYI, below in step-by-step photos, I have shared the blender method. Taste: It has the perfect balance of sweet and tart taste. Homemade vs store-bought: Homemade pomegranate juice is lighter, fresh-tasting and with no sugar added.  

🧾Ingredient Notes

Pomegranate: Use the ripe fruit to get the best tasting juice. How to choose ripe pomegranate? 

Shape: Ripe ones are not round but they have flat or angular sides. Skin: It has smooth and firm skin without any blemishes or bruises.  Weight: It should feel heavy for its size meaning the pomegranate arils are full and juicy.

👩‍🍳How To Make pomegranate juice? (Stepwise) 

  1. Take pomegranate seeds in a blender.
  2. Add water.
  3. Start blending. Do not blend in the one go, use the pulse button. Do not over-blend, otherwise, the seeds will make the juice slightly bitter.
  4. Place a fine-mesh strainer over the bowl. Pass the juice through the strainer.
  5. Using a spoon or spatula press it lightly so the juice can pass. Discard the seed pulp.
  6. Serve this juice right away. 

💭Expert Tips

You can seed the pomegranate ahead of time and store it in the fridge for a few days or until ready to make a juice. Use chilled water and chilled pomegranate seeds to get the instant chilled juice. Storage: Pomegranate juice can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight glass bottle or container for up to 3-4 days. I prefer fresh juice instead of storing it because after storing fruit juice loses its fresh taste and nutritional value.
